ABOUT
Criminology Club aims to help people who are interested in Criminology, Forensics and Law connect and learn. We are a first generation club, and our mission is to become one of the best clubs in EIS.
Mission
The CSI effect, named after an American drama, refers to the effect in which jurors who are not familiar with forensics overestimate the ability of forensic evidence. This can have an influence the final verdict of jurors in a criminal case, potentially making the verdict inaccurate to what had actually taken place in that particular case. By discussing topics like Criminology and Forensic Science, we hope to help society avoid such effects by educating people.
